Sarah’s, love for nature and fascination with healing and the human body started at a young age. Graduating with honours from Concordia University with a Specialization in Exercise Science (BSc.), she continued on as a teacher’s assistant in the Human Anatomy Laboratory while attending the Collège D’Études Ostéopathiques de Montréal (CEO).
As a young practitioner, Sarah began to realize what a true privilege it was to learn and work in this field. After completing the 5 years of required training at the CEO, she chose the clinical internship program option. This, thanks to her amazing teachers, gave Sarah, 2 extra years of supervised hands on training of complex cases which further deepened her passion for osteopathy and awe of the bodies innate healing mechanism.
After graduating, Sarah, continued to follow her favorite professors for postgraduate courses given around the world. Some of these courses included training for patients with a history of multiple traumas, chronic pain, concussions, brain and nervous system issues, digestive trouble, somato-emotional issues, pregnancy related concerns, preparation for birthing, as well as work with babies and children.
Sarah, was born in Montreal and loves French culture. She feels very lucky to have had the chance to own and work at the osteopathic clinic Centre de Santé Louisa Burns, in Quebec until 2017. The experience and learning she gained from her colleagues and patients there was truly invaluable.
Witnessing and facilitating healing and growth is such a joy for Sarah, along with traveling, yoga, learning, and connecting with people and nature. A combination of these passions lead her to join Osteopathy Without Borders on a mission to Pakistan in 2010 and to go to India to complete her yoga teacher training in 2013. Now settled in Vancouver she feels very blessed to be able to help people on the West Coast reconnect to their health through osteopathy and to continue to develop her skills with help from all her teachers- other osteopaths and professionals, friends, family and each patient she has the pleasure of working with!
